A celebration of music in support of Parkinson's Disease and Cavernoma
UPDATE: Online ticket sales end at 11pm, Saturday 17 October. Combi and individual concert tickets are available from the box office at the Corn Exchange, open from 1pm, Sunday 18 October, or on the door.
DurnoVibe 09 is a one-day celebration of music in Dorchester, Dorset, UK, bringing together local musicians and some very special guests to raise awareness of and money for Parkinson’s Disease and Cavernoma.
Taking place at various venues across Dorchester throughout the afternoon and evening of Sunday 18 October, the event will bring together musicians from a variety of genres and styles, including classical, jazz, blues, rock and folk, who will be performing free of charge in a spirit of fusion and fun to raise awareness and money for these two devastating neurological conditions.
All proceeds will go towards the local branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society and Cavernoma Alliance UK, which is based in Dorchester.
During the afternoon, two of Dorchester's finest pubs, Tom Browns and The Junction Hotel, will be hosting performances by local folk, jazz and blues musicians. From the afternoon into the evening, are also two very special concerts:
Tickets for The Classical Collection and the Corn Exchange are available now. For a special price of £15 (£9 concessions), the Combi Ticket gives you entry to all events.
Tickets are available to buy online now. You can also buy them from the Tourist Information Centre and Dorset County Museum in Dorchester.The box office, situated at the Corn Exchange, will be open from 1pm on the day of the event. Tickets bought online should also be collected from here.

- The Classical Collection in Dorset County Museum, starting at 2pm and culminating at 6pm with a performance by pianist Fiona Dalzell (accompanied by the Great Western Ensemble) of Rhapsody in Blue, and a performance by acclaimed composer Michael Finnissy of some of his Gershwin arrangements
- And, in the Corn Exchange, celebrated local artists including Paddy Milner, Jess Upton, the Crack, Fungus, Andy Grant and many more. The entertainment will carry on through through till midnight with full bar facilities.
